DTN COMMENTS:  The country is fairly quiet at midday with just a few 
asking prices being noted in parts of Nebraska at $370. At this point no 
bids have been renewed. Having said all of that, Packer inquiries should 
continue to improve as the day progresses, but it is very possible that 
significant trade volume could be delayed until tomorrow, possibly until 
after the on feed report is released in the afternoon. 

Beef cutouts are lower at midday (choice 365.89 -0.22, select 360.04 -
2.41) with light to moderate box movement (36.72 lds of choice cuts, 5.00 
lds of select cuts, 0.00 lds of trim, and 14.19 lds of ground). Live 
cattle futures are mostly modestly lower, while feeder issues are mixed.
